The night was still, the air was drear.
A man walked alone; his direction unclear.
A battle raged within his troubled soul.
He was at the crossroads, all his life as a whole.
He believed in God, or at least so he thought.
He obeyed what he knew—all that he’d been taught.
But something’s not right, there’s something I lack.
I’ve lived like most others, as my life plays back.
But I go to church! I sing and I pray!
I even helped the neighbor, just the other day!
He fought with his mind, justifying the wrong.
It was God that was working, He seemed quite strong.
The fact of the matter, it’s confidence I lack.
I believe in myself, not the God from way back.
God wants to show strong, in my life every day.
He wants me to be proved; He’s the Life and the Way.
There’s no better One, in Whom to put all your trust;
Than the almighty God. For all men it’s a must!
