The sun sets on another day.
Kneeling, you realize you have nothing to say.
It’s been so long since the fire burned hot,
Replaced with darkness, your stomach a knot.
It didn’t take much, just a slow drift away;
If there’s no change, what a dear price to pay!
But why so hard this narrow way?
If it would be easy, I could do it today!
This battle is real, my life’s on the line.
Oh God! Please help me my life to refine.
I feel sudden hope, God, You are really there.
Yes, I feel Your presence, You really do care!
Oh, forgive me I plead, please grant another try!
Whatever you ask, my gaze is on high.
Thank You, my Lord, my Sovereign Friend.
My life on the altar until the very end!
