The Battle That Rages

Silhouette of a person raising both hands against a warm sky

There is coming a day when all will be well.
The things that are bad will all be in hell.
But we must not forget that day has not come.
We are in a battle; we must still overcome.
The enemy rages, his time here is short.
He spreads all his lies, the truth to distort.
Sin in our lives, it is his great goal.
For he knows very well it will cost us our soul.
It need not be big; a small sin will do.
He’ll trick and deceive, each soul to pursue.
The darts of the wicked come from all sides.
When faced with God’s power, that devil—he hides!
When God is with us, he cannot advance!
When God is with us, sin has no chance!
For the eyes of the Lord seek to and fro,
To find one perfect, His power He’ll show!
Let’s be done with the lesser and look far beyond.
Let’s take hold of God’s power! It’s time to respond!
