The Lord is asking for your love;  
 He wants it for His own\.  
 A jealous God, He cannot have  
 Another on His throne\.  
 But as you yield to Him your love  
 He spills His love on you;  
 He asks a lot but gives so much,  
 As no one else could do\.

The Lord is asking that the dreams  
 You cherish in your heart−  
 Of shadowy and future things\-  
 To Him be set apart\.  
 But as you yield to Him your dreams  
 His plans will take their place;  
 He asks a lot, but gives so much−  
 A future drenched with grace\!

The Lord is asking that your life  
 Be given up to Him  
 Along with all that makes it yours−  
 The things without, within\.  
 But as you yield to him your life,  
 On you His life He pours\.  
 He asks a lot, but gives so much:  
 His rich and overflowing store−  
 Himself−forevermore\!
