**The pathway of the year
 Is hidden and untried;
 I will not fear, for at my side
 Is One who cheers
 Through all the years;
 I do in Him confide\.**

**Through darkness compass me,
 And clouds about me fall,
 They cannot harm;
 Through all the days
 God is my Guide, I shall not slide,
 He orders all my ways\.**

**When at my journey’s end
 I reach the land of light\.
 I shall forget
 The perils past,
 And wond’ring, trace the way of grace
 That brings me rest at last\.**
